ABOUT ME

My story is one of unimaginable tragedy transformed into unstoppable purpose. At just 23 years old, a near-fatal overdose left me blind, mute and immobile - yet from this silence, I found my voice and vision. Using adaptive technology that translates Morse code into speech, I have written over 1,000 poems and song lyrics, produced 11 collaborative albums, founded my clothing line Blind Custom Designs and have shared my brutally honest message with more than 200,000 young people across Canada.

From 2006 to 2017, while living on Salt Spring Island, I founded my non-profit Jade's KIDS Foundation, premiered my award-nominated documentary Harpooned Soul: The Jade Bell story, and toured schools, theaters, and prisons nationwide - delivering a raw and inspiring presentation of hope, resilience, and the power of choosing creativity over drugs. My performances often paired with live music and art auctions, turning my story into a movement that empowered youth from coast to coast.

I continue my mission from Vancouver Island, producing music, clothing, speaking to youth and leading a foundation dedicated to helping young people choose art over drug addiction. My story is not just one of survival - it's a testament to human resilience, creativity and the ability to transform tragedy into hope.
